Alison Clark is the Director of AC Health & Nutrition. Alison is a registered dietitian and has worked in the wellbeing sector, commercial food industry and NHS since 2000.
Alison’s career started in the NHS, after gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Nutrition & Dietetics in 2000 from the University of Surrey. She continues to work there as a Registered Dietitian on a consultancy basis working alongside consultants; optimising the nutritional status of patients with different medical diagnosis including diabetes, gastro related conditions and cardiovascular disease.
In 2005, Alison developed her own successful nutrition consultancy firm; www.achn.co.uk. Alison’s experience includes public speaking at international and national conferences on the scientific evidence of the benefits of microflora to gut health. In addition, leading a team of Registered Dietitians, with coverage all across the UK to run projects such as in-store sampling events, Public Health initiatives such as Xpert for Diabetes and the DWP “LiveWell WorkWell” 3-year project plus UK wide brand awareness interventions.
Alison brings professional, evidenced-based nutritional expertise working with household names such as Marks and Spencer, Barclay Capital, Mitsubishi, BT and Diabetes UK; delivering bespoke corporate health interventions, to a variety of audiences across the UK. Alison has strong communication skills; she is adaptable in her delivery and ensures key messages are relevant for her audience and attracts requests for return presentations from a portfolio of individual, public and corporate clients.
Alison’s research work includes working for The Centre for Obesity Research (COR), specialising in clinical trials assessing the feasibility and safety of new weight loss drugs. Alison and her team also conduct clinical trials for Oral Nutrition Supplements to gain ACBS approval.

Alison is a Registered Dietitian (DT 8058), Full member of the British Dietetic Association (6269) and Regulated by the Health Care Professions Council (DT 08058) which ensures rigorously maintained standards of training, professional skill, behaviour and client safety.
Alison is the Lead Dietitian for the Symprove TTT programme ensuring the team offers the highest standards of training for HCPs along with financial monitoring.
Alison is passionate about nutrition and wellbeing which comes across in her planning, professionalism and delivery.
